Research Senior Technician Department:
Arts and Sciences | Evolution Ecology and Organismal Biology The Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Research Senior Technician to join our team. This position will contribute to research projects focused on the emergence of functional distinctiveness in birds and Ecosystem Based Fisheries Management in Lake Erie. Duties include compiling and managing large ecological and trait-based datasets, conducting statistical analyses, assisting with the development and implementation of analytical workflows, and contributing to the interpretation of results and preparation of manuscripts for publication. The position will also involve close collaboration with lab members and participation in regular research meetings. Minimum Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in ecology, evolutionary biology, statistics, or a related field. The minimum qualifications can be met by 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma/GED, or 2 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree. Desired Qualifications Candidates with 2-3 years of prior experience in ecological modeling and/or statistical ecology. Strong organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office and R statistical modeling software is desired.Additional Information:
