Position Introduction:
The Lead Researcher provides scientific, technical, and operational leadership for the Core Molecular Facility with the School of Biological Sciences. Responsible for advanced genomic and transcriptomic laboratory operations, bioinformatics support, instrumentation oversight, user training, and core facility administration. Serves as a subject matter expert in nucleic acid sequencing workflows and associated data analysis, supporting research programs across the college. Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree. 36 months related research experience, including supervision.
Equivalency/Substitution :
Will accept 72 months related research experience in lieu of the Master's degree for a total of 108 months of related experience.
Department Preferences:
PhD in a related scientific field. Experience managing or supporting an academic core facility. Advanced experience with bioinformatics pipelines and large-scale datasets.
