RWE & HEOR
The Associate Director Research Manager, US
RWE & HEOR
is responsible for supporting strategy development and the execution of real world evidence generation and HEOR activities for asundexian and other Specialty and Pipeline products, as needed. This will include the conduct of RWE and HEOR projects in close collaboration with other functional areas in US Medical Affairs, US Market Access, Global Integrated Evidence Generation, Global Market Access, and more, as well as with external partners and vendors. The purpose of this position is to drive the timely execution of US RWE and HEOR evidence generation in alignment with medical and commercial strategy to support broad and timely market access to asundexian.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director Research Manager, US RWE & HEOR, are to:
  • Support the development of U.S. evidence generation strategy in collaboration with the Director of Research Strategy;
  • Manage and support the design, execution, and communication of real-world evidence studies, including complex epidemiological and outcomes research studies;
  • Draft and review study protocols and analysis plans, study reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences;
  • Manage and support the development and execution of HEOR projects including drafting RFPs, vendor selection and management and the development of materials including AMCP dossiers, budget impact models, and value communication resources to support customer engagements;
  • Execute
RWE/HEOR
projects using internal data sets in collaboration with data analyst;
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling projects;
  • Jointly manage research partnerships with academia, thought leaders, managed care and other customers, and contract research organizations;
  • Present research findings at scientific congresses and participates in the development and writing of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals;
  • With minimum supervisory support, coordinates and prioritizes the activities and functions of project team/s to drive timely completion of projects;
  • Ensures all steps of research process are planned and executed within agreed-upon timelines and to the highest standards of quality and adhering to Bayer SOPs;
  • Stays current on industry trends, regulatory guidance, and methodological advances in RWE and
HEOR. WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MS, MPH, or PharmD or other equivalent degree) in a relevant discipline;
  • Experience in or closely working with the life sciences industry;
  • Experience in health economics and outcomes research and/or real world evidence or related field of research;
  • Proven ability to apply epidemiological/health outcomes methodologies using claims, EMR, or registry data for RWE and HEOR;
  • Have ability, with minimal supervision, to draft and critically review RWE and HEOR study protocols and analysis plans, study reports, as well as abstracts and manuscripts;
  • Have ability, with minimal supervision, to implement research plans and programs in alignment with commercial strategy;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to work independently and to establish priorities and ensure internal alignment for research projects to meet objectives and deadlines;
  • Requires 20% travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least two years' experience in or closely working with the life sciences industry;
  • At least four years' experience in health economics and outcomes research and/or real-world evidence or related field of research.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $156,000 to $234,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
