Job Summary The Hermiston Experiment Station invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, fixed-term Research Associate position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director. This position is located in Hermiston, Oregon This Research Associate position will contribute to the advancement of the Nematode research related to potato breeding and genetics program at Oregon State University through a combination of research, outreach and collaboration within OSU and in the Tri-State breeding program. The position will support current efforts of the program to develop resources for potato nematode resistance research, maintaining nematode cultures, performing nematode research trials and nematode and host genomic resource development. This position will integrate field work, greenhouse and growth chamber work and molecular lab work with a goal of improving nematode genetics in potatoes. In addition, the postdoctoral research scholar will contribute to nematode diagnostics, host genetics and genomics research as needed.. This role will align with Oregon State University's land-grant mission in promoting innovation in agriculture and in training the next generation of scientists. Why OSU?
