THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE AFTER SIX MONTHS IS POSSIBLE

POSTING SUMMARY
Provide technical support and research assistance of an advanced and often independent nature; provide administrative support to principal investigator in grant administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform both applied and basic research of an advanced and independent nature under the overall direction of principal investigator. Design research protocols (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures), perform independent laboratory and field measurements and analyses. Develop analytical procedures, computer programs and other techniques for laboratory and fieldwork. Develop research proposals, technical reports and professional articles. Instruct and supervise graduate students and others in the use of laboratory equipment and in research processes and techniques. Perform budget and administrative responsibilities for specific projects and/or programs.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May represent the PI at meetings and conferences as appropriate.

Perform additional duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Valid driver's license. Personal computers, printers; word processing, database, spreadsheet, remote-sensing and GIS software. Fieldwork sensors and tools (e.g., coring).
