Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time USPTO-registered Patent Agent. As part of the Intellectual Property team, this position may be based out of any of our mid-west offices with potential for remote work. The primary responsibilities of this position include drafting patent applications and responses to communications from the USPTO. The successful individual will collaborate closely with attorneys and clients across a range of industries, including automotive, agricultural, industrial, medical devices, banking, consumer products, software, electronics, and more. Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, biomedical, computer science, or a related engineering field is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of electrical, computer controls, and autonomous technologies, good writing skills, and at least five years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, along with an undergraduate degree in engineering. A background in mechanical, electrical, physics, computer science, or a related engineering field is preferred. Strong academic credentials, excellent analytical abilities, and polished writing skills are essential for success in this role.
