Vice President of Student Affairs Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Director of Institutional Research and Analytics to lead the development, collection, interpretation, and reporting of institutional data that supports strategic planning, policy development, student learning assessment, enrollment management, and organizational decision-making. This leadership role serves as the institution's primary source of official statistics and research, providing critical insights to executive leadership, academic departments, enrollment services, student affairs, budgeting, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in research methodology, statistics, data analytics, and higher education assessment practices. Key Responsibilities Conduct research studies and analyses related to enrollment forecasting, retention, graduation rates, student demographics, faculty workload, instructional activity, staffing patterns, budgeting, and resource allocation. Develop, maintain, and enhance institutional reporting systems and data analytics processes. Prepare and submit statistical reports required by federal and state agencies, accrediting bodies, and professional organizations. Lead institutional assessment initiatives related to student learning outcomes and organizational effectiveness. Design and maintain enrollment forecasting models and annual analytical reports for executive leadership and governing boards. Develop and improve cohort tracking, transfer reporting, and student success measurement systems. Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Enrollment Services, Budget, and other departments to support research and assessment needs. Ensure data integrity by monitoring databases, troubleshooting reporting issues, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Assist in the design and coordination of computer-based assessment and decision-support systems. Prepare reports and analyses to support accreditation reviews, program evaluations, strategic planning initiatives, and grant-funded projects. Chair or participate in institutional, state, federal, and community committees related to assessment and institutional research. Evaluate the feasibility, methodology, and resource requirements of complex reporting requests and provide appropriate recommendations. Produce annual statistical and assessment reports summarizing key institutional performance indicators. Promote a collaborative, diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Required Qualifications Master's Degree with graduate-level training in Research Methodology and Statistics . Minimum of 3 years of related institutional research, analytics, assessment, or higher education research experience . Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, research design, and data interpretation. Strong knowledge of database systems, reporting tools, and computer applications. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Higher Education, Educational Research, Statistics, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, or a related field. Experience in community colleges or higher education environments. Experience supporting accreditation, strategic planning, enrollment management, and student learning assessment initiatives. Knowledge of institutional effectiveness frameworks and higher education reporting requirements.
