Lathrop GPM is seeking a highly qualified Patent Agent or Technology Specialist to join our team in any of our offices across the US but with preference to our Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in biotech patent prosecution, with demonstrated proficiency in patent searching and drafting patentability, freedom-to-operate, and other IP-related opinions. We are looking for a self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious engineer with an advanced degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering, computer science, computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or another closely related technical field, to effectively support complex patent prosecution matters. An advanced degree is required, and prior experience as a patent agent, or in a law firm or industry setting, is strongly preferred. The current anticipated salary range is $125,000 - $200,000. Actual initial salary may be above or below the identified range and will be based on relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.
