Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant with Pediatric Phlebotomy experience to join our Research team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be trained as a Clinical Research Coordinator and play a crucial role in providing quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about healthcare and have a desire to make a positive impact on patients' lives and the future of medicine. You must have experience performing pediatric vaccines and blood draws to be considered! Please do not apply if you do not have experience with both.Duties:
- Perform vital signs assessments, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate, blood draws. Please do not apply if you do not have Pediatric blood draw experience as this is a requirement.
- Perform Standard of Care (SOC) testing for Covid, Flu, RSV, Strep
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and vaccinations
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, patient follow-up
- Be well spoken and have the ability to confidently speak with parents about trials in which they or their child may qualify to participate.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Ability to provide exceptional patient service with compassion and empathy
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing electronic health records
- Basic life support certification preferred
- Must work well under pressure and have amazing time management skills
- Detail oriented is a MUST!
REQUIRED!
- Must have strong computer skills and the ability to multi task
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
