Advertising Summary:
VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Communications area during the 2026-27 academic year.Unit:

VCU Athletics' mission is to win conference and national championships, provide a first-class student-athlete experience, serve as a source of pride for the University and community and cultivate graduates who excel as leaders.Duties & Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Promoting and telling the stories of the VCU Athletic Department's 17 intercollegiate programs; Writing features and press releases; Record keeping and tracking statistics; Working with some elements of graphic design and participating in some PA, radio, and video work; Assisting with any media request for coaches and student-athletes; and Other projects and duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications Admittance into a graduate program within VCU; Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics; Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and Exceptional verbal and written communication.Salary Range:

Applicants must be admitted to a VCU graduate program to be eligible for this graduate assistant position. An applicant who is admitted to VCU's Center for Sport Leadership (CSL) will receive funding from the VCU Athletics Department if they are selected as the finalist. However, full academic funding is not guaranteed. There are two (2) open positions within Communications.
