VCU Graduate Assistant - Athletic Communications 2026-27

VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Communications area during the 2026-27 academic year.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Promoting and telling the stories of the VCU Athletic Department's 17 intercollegiate programs; Writing features and press releases; Record keeping and tracking statistics; Working with some elements of graphic design and participating in some PA, radio, and video work; Assisting with any media request for coaches and student-athletes; and Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Admittance into a graduate program within VCU; Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics; Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and Exceptional verbal and written communication.

Salary Range:

Applicants must be admitted to a VCU graduate program to be eligible for this graduate assistant position.
