Job Description

Antiques Research & Sales Associate About this role: The Antiques Research & Sales Associate will join our small team of enthusiasts to provide critical support with the evaluation and selling of antiques in our showroom, online, and at shows around the country. Flexibility is available to best utilize any existing specialization, but the ideal candidate will be excited to tackle a wide variety of categories including Americana, decorative arts, paintings, collectibles, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth and efficient research on a wide range of antiques, utilizing various resources such as online sales records, auction results, and reference books. Work closely with our other experts in the cataloguing, photographing, and handling of items for sale through a variety of outlets. Serve as a friendly, helpful representative of the business to customers and clients in person, online, and over the phone. Assist in general organization and upkeep. Assist with other duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
A genuine interest in researching antiques and broadening one's knowledge. Demonstrated ability to share responsibilities with colleagues. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage one's time productively. Positive and professional demeanor. Strong customer service skills. Familiarity with basics of photography. Ability to move heavy objects weighing up to 70 lbs. Ability to stand on feet and sit down for prolonged periods of time.
The Ideal Candidate would be:
A strong interpersonal communicator, able to collaborate closely and professionally with others as part of a very small team. Adaptable, switching gears and multitasking when needed . Eager to both dig deep independently and work with others toward shared goals.

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
