Job Description

Duties:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate II (Contractor) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience conducting multi-colored flow cytometry assays and other cell-based assays (Ella, MSD, xCelligence, Incucyte) This role requires a dedicated individual who can independently execute experiments, troubleshoot, and maintain meticulous documentation within a fast-paced analytical development team.
Key Responsibilities:
Flow Cytometry:
Conduct multicolor flow cytometry experiments, including sample preparation, staining, acquisition, and analysis using instruments like
BD FACS Lyric, Miltenyi MACQuant, and Cytek Aurora Documentation:
Meticulously document experimental protocols, results, and instrument maintenance in an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Data Analysis:
Independently analyze flow data using software such as FlowJo or FCS Express and present findings to the team.
Lab Maintenance:
Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper inventory management of reagents, and support safe lab operations. •
HARD REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience (biotech/pharma). Hands-on experience with flow cytometry protocol staining, acquisition, and analysis Experience with FlowJo data analysis software. Must be able to work comfortably in a BSL-2 environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills:
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 6+ Color Flow assays Hand-on spectral flow cytometry experience Experience with automated cell counters. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Basic Knowledge of human immunology Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis software packages (Prism, Flow Jo, Spotfire, Geneious, etc) Effectively communicate and discuss results with other scientists on the team Ability to work in a matrixed environment General comfort in learning to work with new software and automated lab equipment
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience (biotech/pharma).
Pay Rate Range:
$40-57/hr depending on experience
