Job Description

The Mission:
From Service to Advocacy Most transition programs offer a desk and a spreadsheet. We offer a Mission . At Advocate Construction, we are the 21st largest residential roofing firm in the country, but we don't just fix roofs—we are Professional Defenders for homeowners. Targeting storm-affected homeowners, we offer comprehensive solutions to protect the home and the loved ones inside it. We are looking for transitioning service members to join our Professional Sales Fellowship , a high-intensity program designed to turn your military discipline into a six-figure career.
The Objective:
$80k-$150k+ Post-Transition During your SkillBridge Fellowship (180 days), your mission is to master our sales and service process. While the DoD continues to provide your salary and benefits, we provide the platform, the vehicle, and the technical training. Upon successful completion of the fellowship and hitting your production goals, you will transition into a full-time Project Consultant role with uncapped earning potential. Why This is
Different:
We aren't looking for "employees," we are looking for the right individuals to make a career here at
Advocate:
Mission-First Culture:
We operate in storm-affected areas. You meet homeowners at their time of need and act as their Advocate.
Zero Industry Experience Required:
Your military background in logistics, operations, or leadership is your foundation. We teach you the technical "Skill"; you provide the "Will." A Results-Only Workplace (ROWA): We don't care about "time in service" or hourly rates. We care about Productive Results . What You'll Do (The Gauntlet): This is a boots-on-the-ground, field-based fellowship. You will be expected to operate with independence and urgency.
Hunt:
Identify and operate within storm-affected territories. You will manage your own "Area of Operations" to find homeowners in need.
Defend:
Build immediate trust with customers by assessing exterior damage and providing a property inspection.
Execute:
Work within an elite team to provide comprehensive restoration solutions. You will be responsible for onboarding new customers and managing the project through completion.
Lead:
Career progression is built strictly on merit. Master our training plateaus to earn your way into management.
The Ideal Profile:
Transitioning Service Member:
You have an active interest in the DoD SkillBridge program and are within 180 days of separation.
High-Friction Capacity:
You can handle the word "No" until you get to "Yes." You aren't intimidated by a 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM schedule or the Chicagoland elements.
Physical Readiness:
You are capable of lifting 50 lbs and navigating a roof.
Mission Ownership:
You don't wait for orders. You see a problem, and you drive toward the solution.
The Pay & Fellowship Structure:
Fellowship Period:
$0 Salary (DoD Funded). You continue to receive your military pay and benefits.
Post-Fellowship OTE:
$80,000 - $150,000+ (Uncapped bonuses + base salary).
Infrastructure:
Best-in-class company truck program and iPad provided. Full Benefits (Post-Transition): Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, and performance-based incentive trips.
The Next Step:
We do not interview everyone. If your background aligns with our mission, you will be invited to the Advocate Audit —a series of videos and forensic essay questions designed to test your "Will" before we meet for a formal interview. Ready to start building a career? .
