Research Assistant in Quantum Computing - Babikov Lab Marquette University - 4.2 Milwaukee, WI Job Details Part-time 21 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description This project-focused appointment in quantum computing will support the research program of
PI:
Dr. Dmitri Babikov. The project will focus on the development of a method for the modelling of quantum dynamics of molecular collision processes. Duties and Responsibilities Carry out computational research in Molecular Physics on the development of quantum computing algorithm for the description of rotational state-to-state transitions during inelastic molecular collisions. Write and test computer programs using Python, Qiskit and FORTRAN. Conduct research with a growing degree of independence, work well with others in the the lab. Provide research summaries and reports weekly, meet regularly with PI to discuss next steps and expectations. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities HS diploma Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Candidate should have solid grasp of the principles of Quantum Mechanics, Molecular Physics and Physical Chemistry. A background in quantum information is preferable. Ef fective communication and organizational skills are important to successfully carry out this position.
