The reporting location for this position is Diablo Range District Office in Livermore. This position will work under the direction of the Supervisor, Cultural Resources Program. The Diablo Range District is looking for an energetic individual to join the Cultural Resources program to support the mission of preservation of California's cultural resources. The individual should have strong organizational skills, work ethic, and team orientation for a challenging position at the District. The Historian II will use their knowledge to survey historical resources within the district, provide guidance on management that meets the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, and help prepare documents to comply with state and federal regulations that apply to cultural resources. Training and Development Assignments may be considered. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
