Job Description

Preservation Architect
  • Atlanta, United States A prestigious architecture firm in Atlanta is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team.
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation, restoration, and renovation of historic buildings and structures. This includes conducting site surveys, creating detailed plans and drawings, overseeing construction projects, and ensuring compliance with historic preservation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting thorough site surveys and assessments of historic buildings and structures
  • Creating detailed plans and drawings for the preservation, restoration, and renovation of these structures
  • Overseeing construction projects to ensure they are in line with the approved plans and guidelines
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure successful project completion
  • Researching historical information and materials to accurately guide restoration efforts
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of all project details, including budgets and timelines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation architecture
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other architectural software programs
  • Extensive knowledge of historic preservation guidelines and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
