Position Overview Apollo is a high-growth, global alternative asset manager. Apollo's Public Policy team supports senior leadership on a wide range of policy initiatives, including thought leadership, political and legislative risk, strategic investment considerations, and the firm's government affairs priorities. The Associate will help advance these objectives, with a strong focus on U.S. federal policy, as well as political and regulatory matters across the country and around the world. Part of this role involves working directly with investment teams on deal diligence on a day to day basis and monitoring and tracking deal risks across the entirety of the Apollo ecosystem. Primary Responsibilities Support investment teams with deal diligence Collaborate with investment and technology teams to integrate information and data across the Apollo platform Maintain systems to review and track regulatory, political, and other risks across Apollo's investment landscape Produce policy memos to support team initiatives and senior executive engagements with government and regulatory officials Develop internal reporting processes to disseminate legislative and regulatory analysis across business units Assist with outreach to policymakers and other stakeholders Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in consulting, public policy, or strategy Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, including building internal content, presentations, and materials Excellent writing skills and critical thinking skills, with the ability to present to internal and external audiences Demonstrated maturity, professionalism, and sound judgment, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders Background in—or strong interest in—financial services, regulation, and related policy issues
