Job Summary:

The Agricultural Grower Intern will gain hands-on experience in plant production, greenhouse operations, and crop management. This structured 3-month summer program is designed to provide real-world exposure across the farm while developing the next generation of growers and leaders.

Program Structure:

Duration:

3-month summer internship

Cross-Department Exposure:

Spend 1-2 days with each department across the farm (Production, Planning, Logistics, Merchandising, etc.) to gain a full understanding of operations

Leadership Projects:

Complete and present two (2) key projects to the leadership team at the conclusion of the program

Career Opportunity:

High-performing interns will be strongly considered for full-time opportunities upon completion of the program

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily greenhouse and nursery operations, including watering, fertilization, pruning, and plant care
• Monitor plant health, identify pests/diseases, and support treatment plans
• Support crop scheduling, spacing, and inventory management to meet production goals
• Work alongside growers to analyze plant performance and improve quality
• Maintain accurate records of plant growth, environmental conditions, and treatments
• Assist with propagation activities including seeding, transplanting, and cutting production
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related field
• Strong interest in plant production and greenhouse operations
• Ability to work in outdoor/greenhouse environments (heat, humidity, standing for long periods)
• Detail-oriented with strong observation and problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative
