Client:
We are world-class experts in plant breeding and biotechnology seeking to hire a contingent position within the Biotechnology team.

This position supports a research team developing and evaluating plant breeding methods. With guidance from a supervisor, the successful candidate would support plant tissue culture research activities. This person will coordinate with various team members to accomplish such efforts.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with creating, executing, and scoring results supporting research team needs, including but not limited to: 1.) processing samples under sterile lab conditions 2.) measuring, imaging, and analyzing experimental results 3.) coordinating sampling and preparing of samples as needed
  • Execute plant tissue culture work including aspects of plant transformation, plant propagation, and conduct analytical assays of plant tissue samples as needed.
  • Work in and maintain a safe work environment; includes using aseptic, sterile techniques
  • Document experimental details with ability to analyze data and interpret results
  • Recording pertinent information in proprietary and standard software applications
Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate has an Associate or Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences, preferably with industry-related experience or equivalent amount of relevant education and experience.
  • Plant transformation experience in classroom or industry setting is highly desirable
  • Problem solving skills are required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to stay focused while performing repetitive tasks is required
  • Ability to work well with teams, as well as the ability to work independently is required
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills are required
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented person with excellent work ethics and time management.
