Job Description

Position Overview:
We are looking for an applied plant scientist to evaluate the performance of existing chemical products on new crops. In this role you will carry out plant trials, assess efficacy and crop safety, and generate data to support strategic crop expansion and support business development.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage plants and treatments, including planting, maintenance, chemical application, environmental control, and trial scheduling across multiple crops and growth stages. Collect accurate and consistent biological data, including qualitative observations (e.g., vigor, phytotoxicity symptoms) and quantitative measurements (e.g., growth metrics, yield components, timing of developmental stages). Conduct greenhouse, growth‑chamber, and/or small‑scale field trials to evaluate the effects of company chemistries on candidate crops, following established experimental plans and protocols. Communicate observations and results clearly to the supervising manager, flagging unexpected responses, crop sensitivities, or practical challenges encountered during trials. Maintain thorough experimental records, including protocols, treatment logs, observations, and raw data, to support reproducibility, data analysis, and future decision‑making. Assist with trial logistics and iteration, including adjusting treatment plans based on prior results, preparing follow‑up experiments, and supporting scale‑up or validation studies as directed.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Agronomy, Horticulture, or Crop, Plant, or Weed Sciences
  • Direct experience working with living and harvested plants
  • Experience evaluating plant health and stress
  • Multi-crop exposure We're looking for a reliable, plant‑savvy B.
S.-level scientist who can execute well-designed experiments, work carefully with crops and chemicals, and generate high-quality observations and data under experienced scientific oversight.
