Agronomist

Agronomist Job Description Join a dynamic RD organization that leads the way in designing, discovering, and developing innovative solutions that benefit farmers and consumers in environmentally friendly ways. As a Brassica Biofuels System Agronomist, you will play a vital role in developing new cropping systems, focusing on water-limited and managed irrigation environments in the western US. Responsibilities Design and analyze multi-crop systems-level agronomic trials. Develop agronomic recommendations based on research findings. Collaborate on research projects with a team of scientists. Build and maintain relationships with farmers and agronomists. Engage in research collaborations and business partnerships. Essential Skills PhD in agronomy, plant sciences, or MS with 5 years relevant experience. Knowledge and in-field experience with multi-crop systems. Experience with field research processes, data analysis, and utilization. Strong organizational skills for planning and coordinating experiments. Excellent interpersonal skills for developing strong working relationships. Additional Skills & Qualifications Research experience with brassica crops and renewable fuels is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and self-directed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garden City, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
