Job Description

Silvec, an agricultural biotechnology company located in Gaithersburg MD, is seeking to fill an entry level position for a general lab aide. Successful candidates should be enrolled in a course of study in Biology, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Science or a related field. The Lab Assistant will report directly to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities include making media & solutions, antibiotic stocks, autoclaving, glassware washing, repotting, seed collection, watering, and plant preparation. Salary is $18.00 per hour, 15 hours per week. Flexible scheduling is available. Experience is not necessary but helpful, and all training will be provided.
