The candidate will supervise graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in proposal and manuscript writing. Primary Function of Organizational Unit North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is an 1890 land-grant doctoral research university dedicated to learning, discovery, and community engagement. The College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences is a national leader that serves and engages the citizens of the state of North Carolina, the nation, and the world through preeminence in agricultural and environmental sciences education, research, discovery, and innovation. The College has four research clusters in (1) sustainable agricultural food systems, (2) food safety, food security, nutrition, health and wellness, (3) family and community well-being, and (4) environmental and natural resources systems. The College houses the departments of natural resources and environmental design (NRED), animal sciences, family and consumer sciences, and agribusiness, applied economics, and agriscience education. The NRED Department seeks excellence in teaching, research, and extension in improving the natural environment for long-term sustainable productivity. The NRED department offers three programs of Bachelor of Science in biological engineering, agricultural and environmental systems, and landscape architecture, two concentrations in environmental studies, and sustainable land and food systems under the college program of Master of Science in agriculture and environmental systems, and a concentration in sustainable agriculture and environmental science under the College Ph.D. Program in agriculture and environmental sciences. Minimum Requirements A master's degree is required, and a PhD is preferred, in Plant Science, Plant Physiology, Horticulture, Digital Agriculture, Remote Sensing, or a closely related field. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education na Required License or Certification FAA Part 107 drone license.
