Job Description
A growing agribusines in Northern Pennsylvania is seeking a motivated Field Agronomist / Applicator to join its team. This full-time position blends crop input sales and custom application, ideal for someone who enjoys both working directly with growers and operating equipment in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Sell fertilizer, seed, and crop protection products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local growers
- Provide agronomic support and fertility recommendations
- Operate sprayers, spreaders, and tender equipment safely and efficiently
- Handle, load, and apply agricultural inputs according to regulations
- Maintain accurate application and sales records
- Assist with inventory, deliveries, and seasonal facility operations
- Collaborate with agronomy and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Experience in agriculture, agronomy, or ag retail preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate application equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Pesticide Applicator's License preferred; CDL a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons
