Job Description

Job Description Sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) discharge response and reporting: Gather details of SSOs from field personnel, prepare reports for submittal to regulatory agencies, and support discharge recovery efforts.
  •  Evaluates the root cause of each SSO. Track SSOs to identify trends and opportunities for prevention. Prepare quarterly and annual reports for management. Uphold SSO procedures, provide SSO response training and support for staff.
  •  Reviews water infrastructure failures and maintains database for infrastructure renewal and replacement (R/R) prioritization. Participates in flushing program planning and tracking activities.
  •  Performs pump station (lift station) condition assessments utilizing data and photos from field personnel. Coordinate with field personnel, track condition assessment results and review pump station data such as SCADA reports, hydraulic data, maintenance records and life cycle information to identify pump station R/R needs.
  •  Reviews pump curves, system curves, and Master Plan hydraulic data. Consolidates and reviews data during startup / acceptance of new pump stations.
  •  Devises, analyzes, and leads improvements to asset data management using GIS, Maximo, SCADA, and other software.
  •  Evaluates, interprets and applies specifications, regulations and agreements.
  •  Performs one-of-a-kind projects to implement new procedures, enhance operational practices or support infrastructure preventative maintenance.
