Job Description

About the Role Perennial BFSA is seeking an experienced professional to establish and grow our Biological Resources Division. This position combines leadership, technical expertise, and client engagement to deliver exceptional biological consulting services. Key Responsibilities Develop and expand BFSA's Biological Resources Division. Manage and lead biological resource projects, managing budgets, tasks, schedules, and serving as project manager or technical lead. Lead and conduct U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) wetland/stream delineations and Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 permitting. Author technical reports and proposals related to biological resources. Supervise internal staff and biological subcontractors. Coordinate priorities across multiple team members and projects. Serve as primary point of contact for clients, including private entities and government agencies. Conduct client management activities such as status meetings and milestone check-ins. Maintain required state and county licenses/certifications for biological consulting services, including Riverside County and San Diego County. Lead biological surveys and reporting efforts, including jurisdictional waters permitting. Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Ensure timely resolution of issues to meet client needs. Work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects. Qualifications Strong background in biological resources and environmental consulting. Proven experience in project management and client relations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Additional Information Initial hours will focus on establishing the division, managing existing projects, overseeing subcontractors, and assisting with proposal preparation. Non-competitive biological consulting work outside BFSA is permitted with prior disclosure.
Pay:
$65.00 - $75.00 per hour
