Job Description
Take your career to new depths and put your skills to work in a one-of-a-kind setting by becoming a part of the premiere aquarium showcasing the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea. The Texas State Aquarium provides high quality, entertaining programming through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. We strive to provide our guests with an exciting, educational, and memorable experience. Responsibilities include but are not limed to: Provide advanced care for aquatic animals, including fish and invertebrates. Clean and maintain aquarium exhibits, work areas, and related equipment. Prepare animal diets and feed according to established procedures. Perform daily maintenance of assigned life support systems and monitor water quality parameters. Enter exhibits using SCUBA equipment to clean exhibitory, provide animal care, and/or feed animals as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in marine biology or related field from four-year college or university; one year of experience working in a public aquarium/zoo; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
