Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract In this contract opportunity, you'll work closely with middle school students to inspire curiosity and understanding in science. The role centers on delivering engaging lessons across physical science, life science, and earth/space science disciplines, all while adhering to the Minnesota state curriculum. Your expertise will guide the development of inquiry-based learning experiences that help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Candidates should feel comfortable creating dynamic classroom environments and adapting instruction to a variety of learning needs. As part of the daily schedule, you'll be teaching from 8 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching License with General Education or Science endorsement Minimum of 2 years of recent classroom teaching experience Solid grasp of inquiry-based teaching methodologies Knowledge of Minnesota's educational standards and curriculum for science Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and implement science lessons for middle school students Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and scientific exploration Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies for optimal classroom engagement Utilize various instructional resources and technology to enrich science learning Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success
