Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the operating room by providing vital support across a variety of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental procedures. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled and certified Surgical Technologists who are ready to work in a dynamic perioperative environment.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Volume-based weekly hours (24-40 hours/week) No weekends or holidays required On-call rotation: 10-11 days per month (3:30 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday-Friday) Overtime available after 40 hours
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Prior experience assisting in a range of surgical specialties strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and readily available Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and assist with instrument handling Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques Support surgeons from procedure setup through postoperative clean-up Collaborate effectively with nurses, anesthetists, and other perioperative staff Participate in the on-call schedule, providing prompt and skilled support as needed
