Remote Our client seeks a Scrum Master / Project Manager II to coordinate SAP Security initiatives with emphasis on General Access and Firefighter ID management. The role manages end-to-end delivery across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models, driving planning, backlog management, and cross-team coordination. The position requires strong facilitation, communication, and analytical skills to manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and continuous improvement. Experience in SAP projects and security or compliance domains will support stakeholder alignment and timely outcomes. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate:
$60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Partner with Information Security and SAP teams to define and manage backlog, priorities, dependencies, timelines, and delivery plans. Establish and manage project plans across schedule, cost, scope, quality, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. Coordinate activities across matrixed teams using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches. Identify cross-workstream dependencies, determine critical path activities, and communicate key tasks and milestones. Proactively identify variances to plan and develop mitigation or corrective actions with project team members. Monitor deliverables against approved scope, schedule, and budget, escalating concerns with impact statements and options. Identify, document, communicate, and manage risks, securing stakeholder alignment on responses. Engage stakeholders at appropriate cadence to support decisions and timely issue resolution. Tailor communications to audience needs and synthesize information into concise, actionable updates. Maintain accurate artifacts including status reports, RAID logs, schedules, financial forecasts, decision logs, change requests, and communication plans. Record and monitor actuals and forecasts against budget, escalating financial risks as needed. Recommend process deviations or adjustments when appropriate and gain stakeholder consensus. Leverage best practices, technical knowledge, and organizational awareness to mitigate risks and improve outcomes. Mentor others on project management methods, practices, and tools while seeking delivery improvements.
Experience Requirements:
Seven or more years of IT experience with significant technology project management. Prior SAP project management experience with understanding of SAP technology, integrations, and technical requirements. Experience supporting security, compliance, or identity and access management initiatives. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies. Competent understanding of Waterfall values, processes, and governance. Competent understanding of Agile values, ceremonies, and delivery practices. Ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional dependencies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Clarity, Jira, or comparable tools. Ability to influence, facilitate decision-making, manage conflict, and drive alignment while balancing diverse perspectives. High adaptability to changing priorities, ambiguity, and evolving needs. Strong situational awareness with effective listening, probing, and appropriate assertiveness. Ability to communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, accountability, and high-quality outcomes. Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or similarly regulated industry (preferred). Experience with Jira or similar Agile lifecycle tools (preferred). PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or related agile certification (preferred).
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered. PMP certification (preferred).
