Compensation:

$45/hr. - $50/hr. including housing, meals, and travel support. Position Overview A private family seeks a reliable, discreet, and self‑motivated Live‑In Companion with CNA to support an active older couple in their summer residences in Maine. The primary focus is the family's oceanfront cottage on Squirrel Island, and Boothbay Harbor Maine, a quiet, boat‑access island. This is a hands‑on role combining housekeeping, light cooking, and warm, low‑key companionship. The ideal candidate enjoys a peaceful coastal setting, respects boundaries, and is comfortable around boats and small‑island living. Key Responsibilities Housekeeping & Home Management Full housekeeping and daily maintenance of the Maine cottages. Laundry light ironing. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and smooth household operations. Assist with boat and vehicle logistics (registrations, service appointments, deliveries/pickups) Cooking & Meal Support Help with simple daily meals. Grocery shopping, pantry stocking, and kitchen organization. Companionship & Personal Support Provide friendly, low‑key companionship to the principal. Help principal if spouse leaves for a day. Run errands and drive for island, mainland, and occasional longer trips. • Light medical support, medication reminders • basic health monitoring Assist with family visits Travel & Logistics Support travel between Maine, Connecticut. Assist with packing, errands, airport transfers, and travel coordination. Help with boat scheduling and transport. Schedule & Living Arrangements Live‑in role with private accommodations provided in the Maine cottage. Flexible daily schedule with respect for personal boundaries and quiet time. Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Experience in private household service as a housekeeper, companion, or similar role. Valid driver's license Discreet, calm, and respectful of boundaries; naturally low‑key presence. Caregiving background is desirable. Comfortable with boats and island living; boating experience a plus. Physically fit, non‑smoker, and able to manage active household tasks. U.S. work authorization and excellent references required.
