Maintenance Director Position Summary The Summer Custodian is responsible for assisting with cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of school facilities during the summer months. This entry-level position supports deep cleaning and facility readiness to ensure buildings are clean, safe, and prepared for the upcoming school year. Other duties may be assigned. Perform deep cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; assist with floor care as needed Clean and disinfect restrooms, fixtures, desks, and surfaces Wash walls, doors, windows, and furniture Empty trash and recycling containers Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and classroom setup/reset Support summer maintenance projects as directed Assist with grounds cleanup and general outdoor tasks Follow safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas in a clean and organized manner Report any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisor Education and Experience Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Terms of Employment Hourly pay based on district classified salary schedule This is a temporary, seasonal position with no benefits Employment is contingent upon: Successful completion of a criminal background check Fingerprinting Required district training Equal Opportunity Employer Payette School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or any other protected status in accordance with applicable law.
