Job Description

Meadowland Farmers Coop proudly serves 15 small town communities in Southwest Minnesota providing Agronomy, Grain, Energy and Feed services. We are currently seeking Seasonal Grain Bin Laborers - Drivers at our Echo, MN location. Job Overview Seasonal Bin Laborers - Drivers assist in the construction, assembly, and installation of agricultural storage structures, often working with metal components and structural assembly. Laborers will work in various outdoor weather conditions to ensure reliable, leak-free storage systems. Job Responsibilities Always maintain safety standards. Assemble and bolt grain bin walls, roofs, and catwalks. Install bin accessories like fans, heaters, and unloading equipment. Repair, strengthen, or modify existing bin structures and metal components. Load/unload materials, prepare construction sites, and maintain tools. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements Strong manual dexterity, basic math skills, and mechanical aptitude. Valid driver's license; a CDL is preferred but not required. Key Qualifications Previous experience in construction, steel fabrication, or agriculture. Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. Forceful communication and safety-focused mindset. Work Environment/Physical Demands Work is typically completed in an outdoor setting at grain storage facilities. The employee will regularly be exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.); noisy conditions; dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards which may require the utilization of appropriate safety measures and/or PPE; and varying heights. Employees must be physically able to perform all requirements of the job, including but not limited to using hands to finger, handle or feel, seeing, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
