Seasonal Grounds and Maintenance Technician

Indian Springs Campground sits eight miles north of Fort Wayne — where families disconnect from the everyday, reconnect with each other, and come back year after year. We're a full-service outdoor destination with full-hookup sites, a sandy beach, fishing lakes, and our new Splash Springs floating water park. We're hiring a Grounds & Maintenance Crew Member for the 2026 season. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Grounds Clean firepits at sites between guests Pick up garbage throughout the park Ensure dumpsters are tidied and emptied daily Rake the beach using a Kubota tractor Weed whacking and light mowing Leaf blower work to keep sites and common areas clean Tree trimming Maintenance Respond to and triage daily maintenance work orders Basic plumbing — clear clogs, replace fixtures, fix leaks at sites and bathhouses Basic electrical — replace bulbs, outlets, and switches; troubleshoot site pedestals Carpentry and general handyman work — picnic tables, signage, decks, fences, minor repairs Painting and touch-ups around the property Fill propane tanks (we'll train you if you're not certified) Keep tools, equipment, and the maintenance area organized and inventoried Escalate issues beyond in-house scope to the Campground Manager Operate a Kubota tractor

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Self-starter who can manage their own day without someone looking over their shoulder Able to take direction and shift priorities when needed Comfortable operating a tractor — Kubota experience a plus Comfortable with hand and power tools Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, carry, climb a ladder, and stay on your feet all day Willing to work outside in all conditions — rain, wind, sun, and everything in between Reliable, punctual, and shows up ready to work Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a seasonal, Monday-Friday position running Memorial Day through Labor Day. Expect physical outdoor labor in all weather conditions, operating equipment, and hands-on maintenance work throughout the property — from guest sites to bathhouses to the camp store.
