Job Description

The Seasonal Night Lab Technician role is responsible for collecting and testing cherry samples, accurately recording all quality data, and supporting production operations as needed. This position requires attention to detail, consistency in data logging, and the ability to follow training and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect cherry samples from designated bins and production areas Prepare samples for testing by cutting and handling product according to procedure Perform water activity testing following established training and guidelines Accurately record results in lab logs, spreadsheets & bin tags Ensure all data is complete, legible, and entered in a timely manner Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab workspace and tools Communicate any irregular results or product concerns to supervisors Assist Production Team and complete Scraper role operations as needed Follow all safety, food safety, and quality standards High attention to detail and accuracy in data recording Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently after training Basic computer skills (data entry into spreadsheets) Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Strong reliability and attendance, especially for night shift work Ability to handle repetitive tasks and work with food products Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift, move, and handle product/bins as needed Manual dexterity to cut and prepare samples Preferred (Not Required): Previous lab, QA, or food production experience Familiarity with data logging or quality testing procedures
Additional Information:
This is a seasonal position supporting peak cherry processing operations. Training will be provided for water activity testing & documentation procedures.
SHIFT AVAILABLE
Night Shift Hours:
May vary according to production schedules. General work hours will range from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday - Sunday. Days and hours may vary, up to 6 days per week.
