Step into a hands-on role with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker. This position gives you the opportunity to work in a scenic setting while contributing to important upkeep projects. In this position, you will support the daily upkeep and improvement of park facilities and grounds through semi-skilled maintenance and construction work. The work you will do involves a variety of tasks that help keep the park safe, clean, and functional for public use. As a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:Building Repairs:
Perform repairs on park buildings and facilities using basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related toolsGrounds Care:
Maintain park grounds by mowing grass, trimming branches, removing snow, and cleaning public areasEquipment Operation:
Operate park vehicles and equipment such as mowers, chain saws, chippers, and snow removal toolsVisitor Assistance:
Provide helpful information to park visitors and support a friendly, safe park environmentRecord Keeping:
Complete required forms such as daily records, mileage logs, fuel sheets, and leave slipsCustodial Maintenance:

This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately April 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately April 2027. Typical work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Shifts and hours will vary including weekends and holidays. Will work 5 of 7 days/37.5 hours per week.Telework:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
