LAKEVIEW HIGH SCHOOL/DALY MIDDLE SCHOOL
The student population of Daly Middle School/Lakeview High School is approximately 360 students in grades 7-12. The schools strive to reach the highest academic standards through innovative curriculum, professional development and quality instruction. The schools also provide quality art and music programs. In addition, LHS/DMS offer numerous programs in CTE which include agriculture, metals, small engines, woods, horticulture, sports medicine, and culinary arts. The athletic programs include football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, skiing, wrestling, track, baseball, softball, and golf.
COMPENSATION
190-day contract / 4-Day School Week Family medical, dental and vision insurance Long-term disability insurance Professional development program and tuition reimbursement Salary schedule: $118,000 - $135,000 Lake County School District #7, unlike many districts, currently pays the employee's portion of PERS SELECTION

Must hold, or be able to obtain, Oregon Administrative Licensure Record of increasingly responsible education positions Successful teaching and administrative experience at the high and middle school levels Clear understanding of IDEA and TAG Programs Knowledge and understanding of the AVID program Understanding of best practices in early literacy and mathematics Understanding of CCSS and smarter balanced assessments and the ability to use data to lead school improvement efforts Effective management of school operations that support teaching and learning Experiences with systems around equity and trauma-informed practices

JOB GOAL
To provide effective leadership in developing a quality instructional program and attaining the goals of the school and district.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL
ADMINISTRATIVE
Administers and interprets the Oregon Revised Statutes, District Policies, and employee contacts and agreements. Consults with the Superintendent and/or the Board prior to changing personnel procedures, instructional program, and/or student activities which may impact Board policy or past practice. Develops building level policies, rules, and procedures which improve the operation of the school. Assumes responsibility for the Associated Student Body Funds and approves all purchases and expenditures. Actively participates as a member of the management team. Prepares reports to appropriate individuals and/or agencies as required or requested. Prepares and/or approves all printed materials for distribution to pupils, staff, and parents. Oversees the proper use and care of all school property. Conducts fire drills and other safety activities including necessary emergency measures in accordance with good safety practices and District policy. Works with building staff to develop an annual budget for presentation to the Budget Committee. Approves the purchase and distribution of all supplies, materials, and equipment, and other items within budget limitations. Performs other such duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
STUDENTS
Exercises leadership in the proper supervision of students and assists the staff in maintaining acceptable standards of student behavior. Provides each student with a handbook containing clear, well-defined rules and regulations. Applies fair and consistent enforcement of rules and regulations. Provides opportunity for students to share in self-government consistent with school regulations, district policies, and guidelines. Carefully considers and responds to all student complaints. Assures counseling and guidance to students in selecting appropriate courses. Demonstrates active interest in students as individuals and provides help and guidance. Coordinates all student activities.
STAFF:
Determines assignments of all certified staff under his/her supervision. Screens and interviews applicants for certified and classified positions and recommends candidates to the superintendent. Provides opportunity for staff participation in decisions directly involving their interest. Prepares a clearly written, well-defined procedural staff handbook. Considers and responds to teacher complaints and concerns. Schedules and assigns working hours of all classified staff under his/her supervision. Supervises the evaluation of the certified staff in cooperation with the Staff Development Director. Evaluates classified staff members in accordance with the district policy. Conducts staff meetings and coordinates other building level meetings. Encourages continuing education through workshops, conferences, etc.
INSTRUCTION
Supervises and assists staff members with curriculum development, program evaluation, and improvement. Assists the Special Education Director in the placement of qualified students in appropriate classes. Supervises the preparation of a master class schedule. Supervises the instructional program. Approves and maintains files of written course goal statements for all courses offered. Approves written performance objectives for all courses offered. Supervises the maintenance of student achievement and attendance records.
COMMUNITY
Carefully considers and responds to citizen complaints. Arranges for the use of facilities for groups in accordance with District policy. Works with all staff in efforts to keep parents and patrons of the community informed about school activities.
