Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in the sciences at the secondary level. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy among adolescents. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for science education, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to student success. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, utilize innovative learning technologies, and support diverse learners to reach their full potential. Duties Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on experiments, digital resources, and inquiry-based learning strategies. Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment. Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills. Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback to support growth. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives to enhance science education quality. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Valid teaching certification for secondary education in science or equivalent credentials. Proven classroom experience teaching science at the secondary level in a private or public school setting. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies. Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education accommodations. Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively. Demonstrated ability in classroom management, conflict resolution, and behavior management strategies.
