Job Description This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered. A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. The Secretary I provides entry-level to intermediate administrative and clerical support in a professional office environment. The role focuses on routine clerical tasks, document preparation, and basic office coordination using standard

software tools and established business processes. Compensation & Benefits Estimated Salary range for
Secretary I :
$22-$24/ hour Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Responsibilities Secretary I Responsibilities Include:
Perform general clerical duties including word processing, filing, copying, scanning, and document storage Prepare routine correspondence, memoranda, briefings, and reports Receive, screen, and route telephone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including distribution and tracking Maintain electronic and hardcopy filing systems in accordance with records management requirements Enter, update, and retrieve data using government systems and task management tools Schedule meetings and maintain calendars as directed Use standard
DMDC/DHRA
software tools to complete assigned tasks Follow established policies, procedures, and security guidelines Performs other job-related duties as assigned Skills Secretary I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: High school diploma or GED required Basic administrative and clerical skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Basic document formatting and data entry skills Effective written and verbal communication Time management and organizational skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures Ability to manage routine tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in an office environment with minimal supervision Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Company Information Cherokee Nation Defense Solutions (CNDS) is a part of Cherokee Federal - the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
