Duties Help As a Secretary (Office Automion) to the United Stes Attorney (USA) for the Northern District of Mississippi, you will provide a wide variety of technical and administrive support services.
Typical work assignments will include:
Performing high-level secretarial and administrive support functions; Representing the USA when addressing leading figures with the government, business, law enforcement community, members of the media, and others; Making travel arrangements and securing accommodions for the USA; Composing a variety of written merial and reports th vary in subject mter and form; Exercising exclusive control over the USA's calendar for all appointments, meetings, engagements, and conferences with complete authority for commitment of time; Reviewing all incoming and outgoing correspondence (e.g. memoranda, legal documents, and reports); and Arranging conferences and meetings for the USA, preparing agendas, notifying participants, and arranging luncheons. Requirements Help Conditions of employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or Nional. Initial appointment is conditioned upon a sisfactory pre-employment adjudicion. Time-in-Grade:

Specialized experience:
is defined as serving as an executive secretary to a Division level supervisor or Senior Officer in a large organizion or equivalent performing a wide range of high-level secretarial and administrive support functions in a legal environment.
Examples of specialized experience include:
managing supervisor's calendar for appointments, meetings, engagements, and/or conferences; securing lodging/travel accommodions; reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence; and utilizing various types of office automion software to produce written documents/correspondence (i.e., memorandum, legal documents, case files, reports). To be qualified, you must type least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. (A typing test may ler be required.)
