We are looking for an experienced Section Manager (Production Supervisor) that can leverage their skills and experience to support our rapid growth and team expansion. This position will require a self-motivated "hands on" individual that can understand and learn new processes, develop standard of work, and can train new personnel. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, strong technical writing abilities, can work with multiple organizational teams, has strong problem-solving skills, is able to design and develop new manufacturing tools/fixtures, is innovative in their thinking, and is detail oriented with a desire to "roll up their sleeves" to help the team get the job done. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing & optimizing existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using lean manufacturing methods. You will be required to interpret engineering drawing packages and sales write-ups to assemble and test products in accordance with customer and quality requirements, including UL. You will assist the directing manager to plan necessary manpower and equipment to complete production and testing functions efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with production schedules. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and conduct a safe workspace within team Perform daily production meetings with team including safety, quality, velocity, & cost Interpret design details to generate manufacturing shop work instructions and standard of work Train experienced and new personnel Perform counseling, coaching, hiring, and disciplinary actions as required Provide manufacturing and technical support Manage production team to weekly and daily objectives Provide production and operational status to internal customers Provide product and assembly support between production and engineering Collaborate with Engineering and Leadership regarding design enhancements Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and testing processes and equipment Lead lean process improvement projects Maintain and assist in the development of process measures and KPIs Identify, develop, and conduct training for Operations team Conduct and Lead safety projects Support manufacturing engineering and safety in the development of PFMEA and SFMEA's Ensure products developed in value stream meet or exceed quality and workmanship standards

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelors degree in Engineering or like degree 5+ years experience in manufacturing and/or supervision Lean engineering and the use of Lean Tools Highly qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering Highly qualified candidates will have experience in leading production teams Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and PowerPoint Experience in designing shop tooling utilizing AutoCAD or Solid Modeling software Highly qualified individuals will have experience with electrical systems Experience using test/inspection equipment Ability to read & interpret electrical and mechanical drawings Position Demands/Work Environment Climbing, Bending, Lifting, Pulling and Pushing.
