Review visit applications for accuracy and compliance with security regulations. Maintain files, logs, and databases, including those with sensitive information. Assist visitors with badges and clearances, along with other security-related matters. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Must undergo pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter as this is testing designated position (TDP). Occasional traveling may be required to attend workshops, training, or seminars (less than 15%). This position may require a 1 year probationary period.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes 1) performing assignments associated with badging, identification cards, access eligibility, and/or background checks; 2) providing assistance to visitors concerning installation access; 3) determining applicant eligibility by conducting security screenings; and 4) entering registration and visitor information into automated databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
