SECURITY GUARD

Responsibilities Protect company's property, buildings, grounds, staff, patients, and visitors by maintaining a safe and secure environment Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property Apprehend criminals and evict violators Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences Report in detail any suspicious incidents Patrol randomly or regularly buildings, grounds, and perimeter Monitor and control access at building entrances, vehicle gates, and parking lots May transport employees and/or patients as needed Other related tasks as assigned within the scope of responsibility for the position Skills Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position Trained security officer with diploma Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols Surveillance skills and detail orientation Integrity and professionalism Required Qualifications Valid and Active NYS Security Guard License NYS Driver's License with clean driving record High School or Equivalency Diploma Speak, read, and write English Preferred Qualifications Law enforcement background Experience in psychiatric or general healthcare facility
