Security Guard

We are seeking professional and observant Security Guards to support seasonal event operations at the San Diego Fair in Del Mar from June 10 through July 5. This seasonal position pays $19/hour and is responsible for protecting property, ensuring guest safety, monitoring security activity, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced public environment. Candidates must have a valid California Guard Card and Power to Arrest certificate and be able to remain alert, respond quickly to incidents, and communicate effectively with guests, staff, and law enforcement when needed. Responsibilities Conduct bag checks, screenings, and respond to security incidents. Monitor surveillance equipment and patrol assigned areas regularly. Ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property at all times. Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately. Collaborate with law enforcement and provide first aid assistance when required. Requirements Valid California Guard Card required. Must possess a Power to Arrest certificate and provide documentation upon request. Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while remaining alert. Experience with surveillance systems, patrol duties, and emergency response procedures.
