PM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or authorization for entry while following post orders and established protocols for controlled areas. Support security-related operations by preparing reports, maintaining awareness of inmate movement and staff activity when applicable, and reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
