PM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response support at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, roadways, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and assist with vehicle and/or personnel screening in accordance with site policies and applicable post orders. Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
