AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections-related location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders. Support controlled movement and order within assigned areas by maintaining a visible presence, following use of force and equipment guidelines, and completing required reports before the end of the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
