AM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures, screening visitors, verifying credentials, and controlling access to the location in accordance with post instructions. Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, drivers, and guests, document arrivals and departures, and report unusual activity, discrepancies, and/or unauthorized access attempts. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including warehouse areas, loading zones, trailer yards, gates, and perimeter access points, as working conditions may vary by site. Support shipping and receiving operations by checking identification, reviewing logs, and helping to deter loss prevention issues, trespassing, and/or disruptions to daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
