Security Officer Regular Full-Time Cripple Creek, CO, US Salary Range:
$14.00 to 16.00 plusTips Shift:
Swing shift availableJob Duties and Responsibilities:
To protect the assets of the casino, as directed. To protect casino customers and team members and respond promptly to requests for security assistance. To maintain good public relations consistently and diplomatically with casino customers and team members. To perform duties in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act. To comply with, maintain, and inform customers and team members of safety and security policies and procedures. House Policies and Procedures and the Colorado Division of Gaming Rules and Regulations. Within the realm of the responsibility of the job, maintain a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes the use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed. Protects the assets of the casino, as directed. Protects casino customers and team members, as directed. Respond promptly to requests from customers and team members for security assistance. Follows established security protocols to ensure that casino work environments are safe. Receives technical direction and guidance from the Security Lead. Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act. Develops and maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all customers and team members. Investigates incidents by asking questions, takes and analyzes statements, secures and reports evidence, as directed, and makes an accurate record of all investigations. Escorts the transfer of money/assets throughout the casino frequently during a shift and, when required, assists by lifting or carrying money/assets to designated locations. Monitors transfers and reports any concerns to the supervisor. Patrol all Century Casino properties, including customer vehicles, and shuttles, and to ensure the safety and security of customers and team members and compliance with casino security policies and procedures, as directed. Reports violations of casino security policies and procedures, as directed. Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and prior to taking action, exercises caution and evaluates circumstances for appropriate security or safety response. Seeks supervision and guidance from the security team leader, as needed or directed. Responds to and controls emergencies immediately and acts to minimize risk to casino customers and team members. Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed, and directed. Is an independent verifier for jackpots and fills. Operates surveillance systems to observe and monitor casino customers and team members for any violations of the Colorado Gaming Act or company standards and procedures, reports violations as required, and acts to ensure the safety and security of all CUSTOMERS andTEAM MEMBERS.
Maintains technical knowledge of surveillance systems through training on component design and repair. Make recommendations to the Surveillance Manager/Lead on additional coverage that might be needed in specific areas. Communicates with staff members through two-way radio communications and ensures prompt responses for security or emergency assistance. Provides Procedural Violation Reports to Security Supervisor/Manager. Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act. Performs incident investigations by reviewing and analyzing videotapes, and reports findings to management staff as directed. Maintains an accurate and chronological activity log, as directed. Performs a comprehensive "close watch" of any casino activity, guest, or staff member, when necessary, requested, or required. Maintains and evaluates the performance of all responsibilities, and before acting, exercises caution and evaluates circumstances for appropriate security or safety response. Seeks supervision and guidance from the Surveillance Manager, as needed or directed. Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must be at least eighteen years of age.Benefits:
