PM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff and first responders when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns according to site procedures. Support daily operations by documenting observations, completing incident reports, and providing visible presence in a manner that helps patients, visitors, and/or staff feel assisted and informed.

Minimum Requirements:

At least one year of security-related experience is required. Required vaccines for a hospital environment are required. Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue. Proof of high school diploma or GED is required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment. At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
